Histoire
The Realm of Beasts has ever been a place of savagery and destruction, defiant in the face of Sigmar's feeble attempts at liberation. But now, deep within the mountains of the Ghurish Heartlands, something ancient stirs. A god long-trapped is about to awaken, and the drumbeat of war calls. Ferocious Ironjawz, gluttonous Ogors and towering gargants all set their sights on the human interlopers, determined to cast down their keeps.

Histoire
It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. As battles between the living and the dead rage throughout the Mortal Realms, the War of Heaven and Death begins anew.

Attached to Crusade Fleet Quintus - dubbed the Cursed Fleet by many - the Ultramarines of the Ithraca’s Vengeance are drawn to a stricken world. With millions enslaved, a malign necron technology siphons the souls of the innocent and heralds the Silent Kingdom’s expansion. Description
A Warhammer Age of Sigmar novel.
Witness the destructive forces that are on the rise in the Realm of Beasts first-hand, and see the indomitable defences of Excelsis tested like never before.
Listen to It Because
This tie-in novel coincides with the launch of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Dominion, and it brings you right up to date with the events that are taking place in the bestial realm of Ghur.
The Story
In the rain-soaked shanty towns of Excelsis, sellsword Niksar Astaboras drunkenly barters his way to a meaningless existence. Little does he care for the war that rages between men and monsters beyond the city walls, despite portents of its encroaching threat. Mortal life in the Realm of Beasts is short enough, and to leave the shelter of civilisation is to surrender to certain death.
But death is coming to Excelsis. The forces of Destruction are on the move, and the realm quakes with each thunderous step. In the wildlands, a sinister new foe overwhelms even the mighty Stormcast Eternals. Yet just as all seems lost, an unexpected champion rises – one to whom Niksar is inextricably linked – ready to lead a crusade into the very heart of darkness. Embroiled in this harrowing journey, Niksar is forced to choose between loyalty and the chance of survival, and in so doing discover his true worth in the greatest battle yet against the savage forces of Destruction.

A good GW story, it's settings the pace for the new edition and focus on Ghur and the human stronghold!
Excellent performance by Richard Reed!
The story is a good one with mix of mystery and action. Just a bit sad to not have a lot of focus on the new kruleboyz.

Belle entrée
C’est un bon livre si vous découvrez le Lore de warhammer, mais le livre manque un peu de substances, de viande autour de l’os.
En gros, c’est une bonne histoire, dans un univers incroyable mais qui aurais pus être un peaufiné.
