It’s seven in the morning. The Bantrys wake to find the body of a young woman in their library. She is wearing an evening dress and heavy makeup, which is now smeared across her cheeks. But who is she? How did she get there? And what is the connection with another dead girl, whose charred remains are later discovered in an abandoned quarry?

Meh
2019--Not enjoying Stephanie Cole's narration at all. The story is okay, but the narrator keeps knocking my concentration off.
2024--Trying this again, I've listened to a lot more audio books in the past 5 years and am changing my review of Stephanie Cole's narration from 1 star to 3. If possible, I would give it a 3.5. I don't love it, but she does a creditable job. She enunciates everything clearly and has the range to differentiate the various characters in the book adequately, not something every narrator can achieve.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
