Story
It seemed the unthinkable had happened. Someone had actually targeted the Ghalian, an order of assassins known and feared across the systems. It was madness. Only a fool would go after the likes of them. But, it seemed, the galaxy had no shortage of fools. Retaliation most bloody was in order, and one man stood ready to spring into action. Hozark was his name, and he was no ordinary man. He was a Master Ghalian, an assassin skilled in the ways of death. Practical, mechanical, magical, to him it made no difference.

But Aram is more. Much, much more. Unknown to him, Aram bears within him a gift so old and rare that many people would kill him for it, and there are others who would twist him to use for their own sinister purposes.

Good story good narration
Well written story with lots of action. Not all that original, you’ll see the typical hero’s and villains doing things you may recognize but there is a refreshing role reversal. The narrator was excellent, giving a large cast of characters a unique voice. Bang for your buck ratio with this complete trilogy is awesome.

A decent trilogy overall
About the reader, it was atrocious at first, he look lime he was on his last breath. He gets a lot better at some point with voice and intonation.
Story itself is nothing too special, feel like a classic fantasy book with multiple races that font like each other much. Magic system was nice, most character evolve with time. Endind was fine too. Overall, decent.

Truely Epic!
Trying to keep this brief for those on the fence. Not since LOTR have I been engrossed in an epic story such as this. This is not about a sword (which I initially thought it was and almost didn't purchase the title because I thought as such), It's about several characters on separate journeys pivoting around a central character culminating to a huge climactic or apocalyptic event. Thank you M.R. Miller for a fantastical journey.
Dave Cruse does an incredible job with the range of characters. I could identify most character VO's without them being announced (the exception being the faeries who all sound the same). Some nice post production voice effects thrown in as well.

I did not expect to enjoy this series as much as I did. I great series. Realistic. The various characters have their strengths, weakness, flaws, vices and virtues. The author does a good job interweaving their stories onto one.

decent story
I found this a decent story but it was one I could take or leave.
it felt a bit preachy at the end, but it was a thought-provoking story.
it was good to see the main character become the individual he was supposed to be.
