Histoire
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. great narrator
great narrator, good storyline, but a bit more boring when jack and maturin are on land and not at sea. the sea is O'Brian's strength!

Fortune of War Review
One of Ric's best narrations and Patrick's perfect capture of the historical events. We need the next movie. Russell Crowe is just getting to be the right size...

Prolonged US onshore component is tedious
Although the story fits into the greater narrative, Fortune of War comes up short.
The narrator struggles in diversifying his accents to include the contemporary eastern US seaboard. This plot is more suited to that of a romantic novel than one of the high seas.
Hard to pictures Melvilles characters walking similar streets.
