The Republic of San Magnolia has long been under attack from the neighboring Giadian Empire's army of unmanned drones known as the Legion. After years of painstaking research, the Republic finally developed autonomous drones of their own, turning the one-sided struggle into a war without casualties—or at least, that's what the government claims. In truth, there is no such thing as a bloodless war.

What a total *****
honestly I've been told many times to read the Manga before I watch the anime and I couldn't do it , I had to listen to this audiobook during work so I could get the full picture and while I will say the narrator had some very hilarious choices and voice for monsters as well I did enjoy it though I loath the spear hero

The Otaku in me is Satisfied.
The narration was how I imagined Naofumi's thought process:
A bitter young adult who knows that he's being treated unfairly and taking it out on others to make himself feel better.
I watched the anime first and the whole part in the ore mine with Raphtalia confused me. Hearing it made it make sense to me.

great story, ok narration
the narrator is clearly still finding his feer, i dont know if it was his first time reading a light novel, but the sound cues and voice tones were all over the place.
otherwise this is a great story. this is the original work that came before the manga and the anime.
