Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
No one is better equipped in the struggle for wealth and worldly success than the alluring and ruthless Becky Sharp, who defies her impoverished background to clamber up the class ladder. Her sentimental companion Amelia, however, longs only for caddish soldier George. As the two heroines make their way through the tawdry glamour of Regency society, battles - military and domestic - are fought, fortunes made and lost. The one steadfast and honourable figure in this corrupt world is Dobbin, with his devotion to Amelia, bringing pathos and depth to Thackeray's gloriously satirical epic of love and social adventure.

Better
As this novel has narrator's voice guiding you and making snarky remarks, listening on Audible with Tom Bateman has made the story more entertaining.

A wonderful adventure brilliantly told
Thackeray's exploration of the human heart and head is as relevant today as it was upon publication. No character is entirely good or bad, so the reader must decide where sympathy should be given or witheld. The modern dive into realism keeps this wonderful novel timeless. Like all great stories, written, told, or watched, no matter how long they are we never want them to end - Enjoy!
