About the Performer- John Cho

About the Performer

One of our most dynamic actors and a New York Times bestselling author, John Cho’s esteemed career has spanned over two decades. Cho has continued to deliver compelling performances in both film and television and has positioned himself as one of the first Korean American actors in the mainstream to break through business and cultural barriers. Cho can be seen in television and film ranging from mystery comedies to science fiction space westerns to dramas to romantic comedies to thrillers and more.
Cho first came into the spotlight in the 1999 hit comedy American Pie and the sequel, American Reunion. He starred as “Harold Lee” opposite Kal Penn in the cult comedies Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and A Very Harold & Kumar 3-D Christmas. Cho went on to star in the iconic role of “Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu” in the motion picture reboots of the legendary Star Trek franchise, appearing in all three films— Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness for J.J. Abrams, and Star Trek Beyond, directed by Justin Lin.
Cho recently released his debut middle-grade book, Troublemaker, which debuted at #2 on the New York Times middle-grade bestseller list. Troublemaker is a galvanizing middle-grade offering that follows the LA riots in 1992 through the eyes of 12-year-old Korean American Jordan Park.

So so good!

Charming and warm, this audiobook stood out and gave me a refreshing story with a bit of mystery and a lot of laughs. The main characters are relatable and entertaining and the plot stays strong throughout leaving the audience also wondering what they will find out next!

It was cute

It’s a cute, easy-read with a completely predictable storyline and ending, but it was an enjoyable way to spend a day cleaning.

Fun with just enough twists to keep it interesting! Love the "Canadianess". Looking forward to the next novel.

Trust this author to give a satisfying plot

Definitely we have romance but so much more. You could eliminate the romance and still enjoy this story. Dot Volene is intriguing and the main characters can be understood. They feel like real people you are routing for.

Note to Audible. I don't want to take any points off this novel because it is very enjoyable and well written. I would like a rating extra button that allows for ratings that are one step above, for those novels that you feel should become a must read or a classic, a recognition of a novel you know that will stay with you through your life. But we can't ask this of every novel. Just to entertain us and not be predictable can be solid 5s. A book like Hail Mary deserves that bit more as it moves us on a higher level.

Fun narrators.. but with a meandering story

Despite great voice casting… this ‘puzzle’ that is centre to this story is bland. Could be much more enjoyable at 7 hours length with no story elements lost.

Absolutely delightful!

I was engaged from the start, and throughout. I loved the lightness, yet depth of the story. I always enjoy a book that makes me laugh out loud. Well done!
