REESE’S BOOK CLUB PICK | #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

“This fast-paced read has everything you could want in a thriller: secret identities, a mysterious boss and a cat & mouse game that kept me guessing the whole way through.”—Reese Witherspoon

Evie Porter has everything a nice, Southern girl could want: a perfect, doting boyfriend, a house with a white picket fence and a garden, a fancy group of friends. The only catch: Evie Porter doesn’t exist.

The identity comes first: Evie Porter. Once she’s given a name and location by her mysterious boss Mr. Smith, she learns everything there is to know about the town and the people in it. Then the mark: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the job.

Evie isn’t privy to Mr. Smith’s real identity, but she knows this job will be different. Ryan has gotten under her skin, and she’s starting to envision a different sort of life for herself. But Evie can’t make any mistakes—especially after what happened last time.

Because the one thing she’s worked her entire life to keep clean, the one identity she could always go back to—her real identity—just walked right into this town. Evie Porter must stay one step ahead of her past while making sure there’s still a future in front of her. The stakes couldn't be higher—but then, Evie has always liked a challenge...

Corny far fetched plot line

The same voice trying to speak all the parts, didn’t like that at all, sounded like a joke

twist and turns

I tend to depend on reviews before diving into books. but I took a jump with this one, and I'm so glad that I did. This was filled with twist and turns and was a nice change from the murder thriller books I normally read. This will definitely be a book I'd be rereading in the future. Will definitely by keeping an eye out for more books by Ashley Elston

WOE!!! 100% Recommend!

I figured after all the amazing books I’ve read this would disappoint, or just be meh, but it was AMAZING. 100% recommend!

Well written and complex

Thoroughly enjoyable. The narrator captured the essence of the characters really well. The end was not nearly as predictable as I was expecting. I’ll be looking for other books by this writer.

This was ok….

I don’t know if maybe I was distracted while listening, or getting distracted because I was fading out of the story, but I didn’t love it. But it was ok. Fairly entertaining? But would not really recommend.

5 Stars!

Book was fantastic, the performance was really well done. Hooked from beginning to end, definitely the best thriller I’ve read this year!

Kept me listening

This book kept me guessing, although I started to figure it out, I was glad that I listened until the very end.

There were a couple of twists that I hadn't seen coming.

The narration was good too. Very often I speed the narration up a bit, however, I found listening to it at the regular speed was fine.

Great Listen.

This was my first audible/read by Ashley Elston; and I was pleased.
The book and story were gripping and I didn't want to put the book own.
Narration was spot on.
Looking for another by the same author. Thank you for the enjoyment.
