Publisher's Summary
From the New York Times best-selling author of The Proposal and a "rising star in the romance genre" (Entertainment Weekly) comes a dazzling new novel about a spontaneous holiday vacation that turns into an unforgettable romance.
Vivian Forest has been out of the country a grand total of one time, so when she gets the chance to tag along on her daughter Maddie’s work trip to England to style a royal family member, she can’t refuse. She’s excited to spend the holidays taking in the magnificent British sights, but what she doesn’t expect is to become instantly attracted to a certain private secretary, his charming accent, and unyielding formality.
Malcolm Hudson has worked for the Queen for years and has never given a personal, private tour - until now. He is intrigued by Vivian the moment he meets her and finds himself making excuses just to spend time with her. When flirtatious banter turns into a kiss under the mistletoe, things snowball into a full-on fling.
Despite a ticking timer on their holiday romance, they are completely fine with ending their short, steamy affair come New Year’s Day...or are they?
What the critics say

Good story
Even though I enjoyed the story, I can't say the same about the narrator... the first word of every sentence is cut off making hard to understand what she said. no distinction between male and female voices, narration felt flat...

I need Idris Alba to be Malcom in this movie!
Jasmine, you did it again!
What can I say? I want to bring my husband to England; pretend we just met and re-enact this book. This story was a perfect kick start to the holidays. It has captured the joy of the season, while keeping fresh the ideas of what a new year brings. As always, I love the touch back/connection to characters from the book prior (Maddie & Theo <3). May we all eat a scone this season and toast to doing more of what makes us happy!

Slow
I couldn't finish this book. It is a very slow story and I found the writing juvenile and repetitive. The narrator was just ok.

Crappier than a Hallmark movie
Ugh why was this so ugh. This book was ugly. The writing was ugly and the characters were shallow. The thought process of these characters were just so boring.

Accents were so bad I couldn’t finish it
The narrator in this book was so awful that I couldn’t even finish the book. The supposedly English accents were appallingly bad. I will be returning this book for a refund.
