Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Favourite Audio Book So Far!
I first read the physical copy of this book then decided to give the audiobook a try when I was doing a reread, and I must say, this was probably my favourite way to reread a book ever! I love how the narrator changes her voice for each character and how she speaks with a sort of intensity that keeps you constantly engaged. I was completely lost in the world and could almost see everything playing like a movie. I adore Sarah J. Maas' writing and I love how the narrator was able to bring it to life. #Audible1

Strong Side Arcs
I think the side arcs are the strongest in this, book 4. they are an essential element to pull the story along as well and give a needed brake from the main arc.
The main story arc is still entertaining but not what's holding me to the story anymore. The main character dosnt feel as believable as I wish she was. The conflicting ruthlessness and kindness grate on her character. For me it dosn't feel consistent.
I really want to know what happens in some of the side stories though.
note: for any one interested to know it's not untill the end of this one that more sexual content starts and it's still just kissing and looking.

Sarah J. Maas Does It Again!
After reading her ACOTAR series, I couldn't help but jump into this one next. Maas never disappoints with her work and I'm excited to start the next audiobook right away! Lots of great character development in this series thus far and the storyline is very interesting! This will be another novel I'll recommend to friends and family who are eager for something new! #Audible1

Loved it!
This book was well written and and kept me hooked from the start until the end. The narrator was great and gave the various characters just the right amounts of difference in their voices and tones. I can't wait until the next one in the series comes out, I will definitely be getting that audiobook too. #Audible1

All I could think was…
Dorian has finally joined the broken people crew. So many twist and turns in this one. A lot more darkness in this one. I don’t know what Chaol thought what would happen when we came back but man his anger was annoying. I liked it.

I laughed, I smiled and cried (multiple times)
This story was so captivating in so many ways. Sarah has a true gift as an author that some can only wish to come close to.
I could not stop listening from the second I started Queen of Shadows to that last amazing scene that had me crying tears of joy for Alin and her court.
I cannot wait for the next installment.
