Publisher's Summary
Art dealer Sasha Montgomery is both nervous and thrilled to be invited to the Caldorian Earth Base for her best friend’s wedding to an alien warrior. One, she’s never seen an alien up close, and two, she made a promise to be there, no matter how much the idea of being surrounded by hundreds of huge alien warriors frightened her.
She thinks she’s got it all under control, until Dagan, the groom’s best friend, crashes the wedding. He’s smoking hot - way too hot to be an alien - and determined to seduce her. Sasha gives in to passion with unexpected consequences. Ancient power rises in response to their newfound bond, and the once innocent Sasha discovers that Dagan has been keeping secrets. He’s not just another warrior, he’s a king, and the power rising between them hasn’t been seen in a millennium.
Sasha must learn to control the force clawing its way through her body...or destroy them all.

Enjoyable
Overall was well written and I enjoyed it. The ending feels a little Disney princess with magic powers but still enjoyable

Good spice okay story
A young woman going to her friends wedding ends up mating to the grooms best friend who is not only an alien but the King!
There are some cultural differences, she thinks it’s a fling (even though she was a virgin, and I really am Not a fan of virgin stories) & He wants her for eternity!
His species has cool symbols that light up with a special cream that’s very rare, unfortunately he didn’t know that by putting the same cream on here she would get deadly sick.
She was sick during the worst time as they were literally getting attacked.
The king & her had to do some bonding ceremony where their life essence would be shared & she ended up with powers.
Many people died & were dying her best friend being among those close to death, but her new found power helped her to heal them all.
Then she had royal guards swear themselves to her and she discovered she was able to give one very old guard special powers with his chosen sword he could call on storms.

Eh alright
Honestly some parts are so painfully written. I'm not sure why but the readers lisp was distracting randomly.

Fantastic story
At first everything seems hidden, only a steamy steamy romance, but as the story goes on the world building and back story comes into play. By the end you are engrossed in these characters and the Knights. It was late at night when I finished but I just wanted to download the next book……. I need to know. I’m invested in the characters and the story. Well done!!!

I quite liked this story
I really enjoyed this story. Some of the sex scenes were a little much for me, and I'm not into dom heavy stuff but I like the characters, the plot is great, and the writing is decently well done.
I love the setting, the world built in this story is really cool and I can't wait to read more!
All this said, some of the writing was ever so slightly cringey and how wishy-washy the protagonist was got a little confusing and more than a little annoying. When she had a problem with her situation, whe was very well spoken and absolutely in the right, but then when she wavered back to being completely controled by Daggan, she never had a great reason, and that's if her rationalizing made any sense what so ever.
All of that aside, it's an excellent book.
As for the reading, I didn't feel the narrator did any kind of stunning preformance, but the only negative I can find is something that is one hundred percent personal opinion. I felt like the voice he had for Daggan sounder more like a skeezy loan shark that uses the interest money for drugs and vaseline for hair gel. His female voices are pretty good though, and I felt as though they made up for the lacking I felt. That said, it's not his fault that the voice he picked to use for Daggan sounds as though it comes from the king of the slimeballs, not the king of an advanced alien species!

Not a lot of substance
I stopped listening about 3/4 of the way through. There was next to no character development, so there was very little chemistry between the lead characters. It reads like an abbreviated version of a story. Details are skipped over and the storyline is weak. He’s an alien who doesn’t know a thing about human customs or social norms yet he calls her ‘baby’ constantly and winks at her all the time. His alienness was not convincing. She was annoyingly naive, bordering on stupid. This was basically a book version of an x rated film with no substance. I’m all for s€x and spice, but a little literary foreplay is nice. Obviously I downloaded this book looking for some heat and I wasn’t hoping for Jane Austen, but when no real effort is put into the story it’s a waste of time. Narration was pretty good considering that he played many different characters. But at times the distinction between the character’s voices was not enough for me to know who was speaking during a dialogue.
