About this listen
Hannah Rhodes has just gotten out of a long-term relationship, and she isn't looking for a new man in her life. But after a night out with the girls and one too many tequila shots, her plans to stay man-free are blown all to hell. She finds herself in bed with the smoldering stranger from a party six months back and immediately knows she's in trouble, big trouble. And the last thing Hannah needs is more trouble.
Her last relationship took her out like an emotional freight train, and she's trying to piece back the stability her life once had.
Greyson Holt's biggest fear in life is to end up like his father, like the man who left him as a child and broke his mother's heart. He vowed to never be responsible for that kind of carnage. Men could be cruel, and that kind of brutality was in his blood. He never allows himself to get too close to anyone, until he meets Hannah.
Something about her makes him want to try, but a man can't change overnight.
Will Holt be able to catch Rhodes every time he lets her go? Or will their chase end in heartbreak?

Really enjoyed this story
I put this book in my library and then after reading the reviews had some second thoughts. I'm so glad I took the chance to read it anyways. Is the main character possessive? Sure is! But, not in a bad way, he just doesn't like to share what's his. I love that in books, so it didn't bother me in the slightest. Is he a flawed and broken man? Sure is! Does it get addressed in the story? Sure does! I really enjoyed this book. At the end of the day it was real and relatable to the broken humans we all are. A sweet HEA ending and I was left satisfied and ready for book #2!

Had potential, I guess..
This could have had potential, but it was just like any other insta love, possessive male and confused twenty-something female.
This was SUPER fast paced for my liking. They said “I love you” at chapter 8. There wasn’t much of a plot. It seemed mostly like a cycle of drinking, yelling, forgiving, smut..etc. The conversations between these characters just seems really immature and childish.
In the prolong, we’re introduced to Hannah and her being in a relationship. Chapter 1 continues 6 months later where she had broken up with her boyfriend for the reason that he has bipolar disease and she couldn’t handle it anymore. That was a big red flag for me already and it was just in the first chapter!

Gets creepy possessive
Had potential, but lost it. The boyfriend becomes violent and abusive. She becomes wishy-washy and subservient.

Plenty of potential.
This story could have been a hit had it not been for the over the top possessiveness of the male character. The female seemed to have a back bone to begin with but then it dwindled. Not enough focus on the male character working on himself and showing vulnerability.

Smut without plot, didn’t finish.
I listened to quite a bit before deciding to give up.
No plot, lots of smut, possessive male character which apparently is sexy (Not!)
Also the narrator totally messed up the pronunciation of toque.
