Hmm ….

CD is one of my favourite authors and I’ve loved all the Crowne books thus far, excellent series! Crowne Jewel is enjoyable but the male narrator wasn’t the right fit for me and I feel like it took away something from this listen. His voice didn’t fit the character and I felt a disconnect with the MMC during his reading. BUT Samantha Brentmoor was so good! Not only as the FMC but she voiced the MMC character better, like just right and so hot … I mean come on … love those scenes with Officer Everhard! 🔥 Overall I enjoyed Lyric’s story and the writing … but it missed the bullseye just a bit for me.
