7th in this incredible series - so compelling!
This is the 7th & next-to-last book in the incredible "Unbreakable Bonds" series. This one really focuses on Rowe & Noah. Page 1 of Chapter One opens at Ian & Hollis's wedding reception with the whole gang present. By the end of the chapter, Rowe & Noah are on their way home and the suspense actually begins on that drive. The rest of the gang really only appear peripherally until the final chapter when they get back together for a barbeque. The ambush in Afghanistan is the core issue here, where Rowe & Noah first met. Something is fishy even now about the whole incident and when old Ranger buddy JB contacts Noah about new developments, Noah, Rowe, and JB head to Washington DC to peel back the layers of the onion and get to the bottom of things. About 75% of this novel is based in DC, not Cincy. We get new details about Rowe's background and we also get to go through Rowe & Noah's sorting process relative to their personal relationship. There is less "sexy time" in this book compared to the earlier ones - this one is more about emotional connection than physical connection. As usual, Kenneth Obi is sensational with his narration and he really makes the author's creation come alive!
