When Harper Jayne starts as a junior researcher at my firm, the barriers between my worlds begin to dissolve. She’s the most infuriating woman I’ve ever worked with.
I don’t like the way she bends over the photocopier—it makes my mouth water.
I hate the way she’s so eager to do a good job—it makes my body twitch.
And I can’t stand the way she wears her hair up exposing her long neck. It makes me want to strip her naked, bend her over my desk and trail my tongue all over her body.
If my two worlds are going to collide, Harper Jayne will have to learn that I don't just rule the boardroom. I’m in charge of the bedroom, too.

great story!
I absolutely loved the back and forth between Max and Harper. I know this story is unlikely to happen in IRL but can't help get butterflies while listening to this book. I'm torn between this one and Violet's story.

Great Listen but
Love these narrators but damn the story was up and down for me. Harper has some serious Daddy issues which made her feel entitled. But it's a good freebie

Good freebie
Narration very good, but Harper has some severe daddy issues (real ones, not kink), and was so full of self pity and negativity it detracted from this sexy office romance.

So romantic but not cheesy

Cute and Sexy
Their relationship developed quickly, but the underlying feelings and growth was touching. I loved how Harper was integrated into the family to become the Queen of their hearts.

Great short story
I love the growth shown in Harper’s character in relation with the dynamics of the relationship with her dad.
I loved the chemistry between them and the vulnerability showcased by King, even though a powerful man at the end he was just a human being, with some insecurities as well as Harper.
