About this listen

In this heart-pounding installment in J.R. Ward’s number one New York Times best-selling series, a long-lost member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood finds true love - and evil incarnate - in Caldwell, New York.

Sahvage has been living under the radar for centuries - and he has every intention of of staying “dead and buried”. But when a civilian female sucks him into her dangerous battle with an evil as ancient as time, his protective side overrides his common sense.

Mae has lost everything, and desperation sets her on a collision course with fate. Determined to reverse a tragedy, she goes where mortals should fear to tread - and comes face-to-face with the Brotherhood’s new enemy. She also discovers a love she never expected to find with Sahvage, but there can be no future for them.

Knowing they will part, the two band together to fight against what Mae unknowingly unleashed - as the Brotherhood closes in to reclaim one of their damned, and evil vows to destroy them all....

Worth the Wait

I keep thinking I’ll get tired of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Apparently not yet. I enjoyed the new character Savage and liked the way his story picked up the Brotherhood narrative. Just listening to Jim Frangione’s by now familiar narration is worth the price of the book. I heard in an interview that J.R. Ward wants to write a book about Lassiter. It looks like that’s in the offing. Can’t wait.

Lover Unveiled by JR Ward

If you follow this series, this is just another winner in a line of many before. It left many cliff hangers which makes me happy to know there will be more. No one narrates like Jim and I buy anything he does!

i cant stop loving these

these delightful stories with their hint of darkness in their true consequences within the world I just can't get enough every now and again I think oh maybe I'm not going to like this one and that's never the case I love this series and this is a great addition the way Savage comes in is awesome and his connection to the brotherhood narrative and to the transition of Lassiter has been great to listen to.
