Mislabeled. This is the 2nd book, not 1st
Thoroughly enjoyed this one, too. Seemed a bit more fast-paced than the first book. Or maybe I just got used to the writing. Some series that follow different characters essentially follow the same plot but this series has quite a bit of variety. It'll be interesting to how how the whole story plays out at the end.

A lustful love story. Can’t wait to listen to many more books by this captivating writer.

I’m really enjoying this world
So this was book 2 we heard about this vampire in the first book supposedly having killed his entire harem & being the oldest vampire everyone assumed he’s going crazy. But in actuality he’s being framed.
Even though I found this book a bit predictable and knew who was behind it right away, I still found the book enjoyable our female protagonist unlike book one was a spitfire not submissive at all. Their accidental love story was cute and the spice was great.
Now he seems to be joining the good guys to help take down their evil vampire government and hopefully see more of them in other books.

wasn't expecting a 5 star listen from this but wow
both the narrators in this book were absolutely fantastic. and the story was very good as well. unlike the first book which was good but felt like a story to support the smuddy rating - which was also good -, but this had a lot of factors I wasn't expecting.
A Kick-Ass female protagonist, a twisty turn-ey story full of suspense, intrigue and political plotting. and best of all a villain who was actually allowed to be a villain even though there was an hea
or, is there?
I don't think there are enough books these days where you get to be inside the planning and scheming and mind of someone who really isn't a villain, but is protecting that softest part of themselves. and you get a sense of that throughout the book but it's not until major events happen - # nospoilers at your suspicions are confirmed or nulled. was a very well crafted book and one that of course leads more into the series but yet could be read as a standalone.
the only thing that I found a bit annoying was it was pretty obvious who the "villain" was. but yet it came with additional information but you aren't expecting.
all of this combined with the extrapolation of the vampire / lycan lore and excellent narration left me with a book that I might actually read again. and like some of the outcomes in this novel, that's pretty rare

Really mediocre
I mean, it was free.. how much can be expected? The storyline was super medium, the spice was trying really hard but never quite reached its potential, there was mediocre character development, and only half likeable characters. The potential was there but unfortunately the next book moves on to another couple, so there won’t be any growth as their story progresses, it really just feels like part of a story was told.
