About this listen
Sophie Scaife almost ran away once, trading her ticket to college for a ticket to Tokyo. But a delayed flight and a hot one-night stand with a stranger changed her mind, putting her firmly on track to a coveted position at a New York fashion magazine.
When the irresistible stranger from that one incredible night turns out to be her new boss - billionaire and publishing magnate Neil Elwood - Sophie can't resist the chance to rekindle the spark between them...and the opportunity to explore her submissive side with the most dominant man she's ever known.
Neil is the only man who has ever understood Sophie's need to submit in the bedroom and the only man who has ever satisfied those desires. When their scorching, no-strings-attached sexual relationship becomes something more, Sophie must choose between her career and heart...or risk losing them both.

Good story
This was a good story but too long for me. I didn't realize it has so many books to get the full story and after listening to the beginning of the second book I quit. I need a happily ever after, and this just wasn't for me.

Ok
Story was ok. But the male narrative parts sound like an old lady. I couldn’t finish the book. Too weird.

Good listen and good story
I’ve always liked CJ Blume as a narrator. She has a unique way of making a story seem very relatable. The overall theme and plot of the story was fun and well written.

Inconsistant quality...with controversial issues
The book series starts off promising with some decent character development. However, the psychology of the characters becomes off as the author throws in very controversial issues purely for shock and awe rather than to enhance an already intriguing relationship between hero and heroine. There should be trigger warnings regarding a detailed abortion and violent demeaning behaviour toward the heroine in second book which some readers may find disturbing. As well, there is meage a trois content starting in book two. So if you don't find material such as this romantic consider this before you invest hours of your time listening to this series. The series started off promising but, in my opinion, becomes less romantic as it progresses which is unfortunate since I had high hopes wanting this to be my new intriguing read. . Even if characters experience turmoil in a book the material can still hold its romantic draw but unfortunately this series lacks that. As well, the narrator has talent but her male British accent is lacking and inconsistent.
