About this listen

As a chief stewardess on luxury superyachts, I massage egos, pamper the spoiled, and cater to the most outlandish desires of the rich and famous. I've never had a guest want something I can't give them. Until British businessman Hayden Wolf comes aboard - all sexy swagger and mysterious requests.

He wants me. And Hayden Wolf's a man who's used to getting exactly what he demands. Despite being serious and focused. Demanding and ruthless. He's also charming when I least expect it as well as being devastatingly handsome with an almost irresistible smile.

But guests are strictly off limits and I've never broken a rule. Not even bent one. My family are depending on me and I can't lose my job. Only problem is Hayden Wolf is looking at me like I just changed his life. And he's touching me like he's about to change mine.

The Ruthless Gentleman is a standalone romance.

I couldn’t stop listening

I downloaded this audiobook because it popped up under my search and it seemed like an ok premise.

I have now downloaded everything I can get my hands on my Louise Bay (and I will admit I might enjoy Mr. East’s voice). I intended to play this audiobook while I fell asleep. I can tell you I didn’t get much sleep, I actively listened for hours, which is unusual for me while listening to an audiobook in bed.

The writing is perfect, the passion of the narrators is brilliant and I was hooked from the 2nd chapter.

The only thing I would “complain” about is the conversation between characters. It seemed lacking, especially from the female protagonist. The erotic-scenes were also a little on the lacking side in terms of flavour, but beyond those two “complaints” I was hooked from the moment I pressed play.

I can’t wait for spare time to start listening to another of her books, now the question becomes, which one do I choose?

Good Read but not as intense as some others

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and couldn't stop listening throughout the day. It wasn't as intense as the Royals series but I appreciated that actually. Some may say the heroine was unimpressive but I find that "unimpressiveness" to be more realistic and relatable.

Intensity overload

#Audible1

This story is all about love, sex, honour, pride, determination, sacrifice and most importantly family! Beside, Shane East is so sexy and makes this delivery so much more attractive and fulfilling!

I liked this love story

I really liked the narrators, Shane East is a delightful voice to listen to and Erin Mallon is perfect. I like listening to them and the ending was awesome, they both deserved to be happy.

Very very good

Loved 🥰 it, the simplicity, the narration , the setting and everything about it.
Quite relatable story and as for the narrators, both are in my favourite zone and Shane East’s voice … well….🥰😁

Great read, it was not as naughty as it could have been. Would still recommend

Good, but forgettable

Here's the thing: I adore most of Louise Bay's work. I have been a fan of hers for a long time, and there are some books, like the King of Wall Street, that I will re-listen to because the story makes me feel so good. It's unfortunate that this book feels as though it was written by someone else. It doesn't have the same intensity of feelings as some of the author's other books. It is a good story, but one that I had a hard time remembering a week after I completed it. The hero is likable, albeit a little paranoid, and the heroine is rather flat, with very little of the zing and strength that Ms. Bay's other heroines have. The narrators were both terrific. Wait until it goes on sale at #Audible1.

fun, sexy, lighthearted

Content warnings: some alcohol, some mentions of "handsy" guests, sexual content.

This one was really fun and a nice change of pace for me (since I keep picking darkly emotional, damaged protagonists). The male lead has definite trust issues, and it does affect the relationship, but he's not jealous or toxic to her in any way, and the female lead has a conflict as well, but we see her undoubted attraction to Hayden immediately. I like that she takes time to forgive his screw up, and I like that he takes the responsibility for everything that's happened to her as a result of her association with him, even before he shows up, hat in hand, begging for her forgiveness.
