About this listen

At 24, Zoey has struggled for several years to pay off her mother's hospital bills. While living in her car and working at a restaurant have been challenges, Zoey maintains a cheerful and optimistic attitude. Two endearing customers alert Zoey Geller to a job opportunity that changes her life. Jon and Cecily have a very different relationship in which Jon appears to be more of a father than a husband. Zoey is the only waitress in the diner who enjoys serving them. The others are uncomfortable interacting with the age-play couple. When Cecily suggests that Zoey would be a perfect companion of her physician, Jon agrees and encourages Zoey to contact Dr. Richards.

Calamities occur as Zoey attempts to get to her interview and Dr. Richards rescues the petite blonde from a night in the rain. Dr. Richards treats her injuries with the methods he uses with all his Little patients: thorough examinations, rectal thermometers, and medicines including suppositories and enemas. Zoey soon learns that Dr. Richards is looking for a companion who will be his Little (an adult that lives as a child.) She will be required to follow his directions, use diapers, and allow him to treat her medical needs. Zoey is soon introduced to his age-play patients and their parents as his daughter and a whole new world opens up for her.

This complete novel introduces a series of books featuring Dr. Richards' patients and their parents. The books in this series will feature invasive medical treatments including thorough examinations and enemas when required as well as diaper changes, bottle feedings, spankings, and other punishments. If you are offended by any of these or by age-play, this is not the book or series for you.

Super uncomfortable with bulldozing over consent

So I have listened to many of Pepper North's books, as well as many others in the age play and ddlg genre. I am already uncomfortable with how certain things are presented as "this is how we take care of Littles and its whats best for them, so you will learn to accept my care". Every dynamic and person in each role is different. however I do enjoy the cute moments and care usually shown and I can usually overlook things and ebullient the story for what it is, especially since the ddlg book pool is still quite small.

Some of these books also sort of skip over important topics. The main one in this book is consent. I understand these Main Dom or Daddy characters are written to be in control and that they know best. And that is the general role Daddy's have in real life as well. However, I think the more I learn and become a part of the community, the more I see how dangerous certain concepts not being represented, or being presented as so black and white/right and wrong are.

In this book the male main character Dr. Richards starts making choices for Zoey "for her own good" to take care of her yes. However they didn't talk about the dynamic. She thought she was going for a job interview! Then he was making medical choices including using a rectal thermometer amongst other things and having her completely naked. She was uncomfortable and saying no in multiple ways. I had to stop reading because it made me so incredibly uncomfortable. Please anyone reading this know that this behavior is NOT okay!! If someone is a caring daddy they will ensure they talk to you, understand your limits and only proceed with consent. And they should check in very regularly until you can get to know each other and know where your boundaries and possible triggers are.

I don't normally stop part way in a book because I know the parts later will make it make more sense, but I just couldn't! I tried multiple times but I just can't get over the abuse and manipulation of a vulnerable Little.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
