I was born in Havana, Cuba in 1953, I studied Biology at the University of Havana, where I graduated in 1981 with a degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Vertebrate Zoology. I immigrated to the United States in 1997 and settled in Puerto Rico. During my years as an active researcher, I published more than fifty articles in journals that require peer review, in Cuba, the United States, Europe, and Latin America, on the biology of amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals of Cuba. I have also written several articles on fauna in the Cuban press and in Puerto Rico. I currently reside in Pembroke Pine, Florida, United States.
