Andrea Olson, M.A., earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California, in 2007. She earned her certificate in movement-based expressive arts therapy in 2007 and, previously, her Bachelor’s degree in Business (Entrepreneurship & Strategic Management) in 2000. Andrea has a knack for taking life’s more complicated topics and whittling them down into an accessible, simple form. The result of this is GoDiaperFree.com where she has become a pioneer in helping mothers and fathers worldwide regain their “potty wisdom” with any age child or baby, through both of her books. Prior to her first pregnancy in 2009, she found that a friend’s new baby didn’t use diapers. Instead the baby peed into the sink. Intrigued (and living in California where everything weird resides), she decided to practice infant potty training with her future baby from birth. Upon doing EC (elimination communication) with her newborn, she found that it was difficult to translate the EC text into actual practice, so she began writing her first book when her son was 5 months old. When he turned 1, her book became available to the masses via her website, EC Simplified, as a DiaperFreeBaby Mentor in San Francisco, California. Since that time she’s worked with 1,000s of parents worldwide helping them start, maintain, troubleshoot, and graduate EC with babies age 0-18 months. She’s since transformed EC Simplified into Go Diaper Free, offering a more comprehensive resource for anyone wanting to stop depending on diapers - http://godiaperfree.com. Through her hands-on work with the Go Diaper Free community, she’s developed cutting edge work in the infant potty training field and has now transferred this knowledge into the conventional toddler toilet training world with her second book.
