Andrew Noske was born and grew up in Australia with a passion for animals, dancing and creative writing. After finishing a PhD in diabetes research he moved to the US for a postdoc in neuroscience at UCSD then began working at Google Maps. He currently lives in San Francisco, battling first world problems. His entire life, Andrew has loved documenting everything: from science articles, to programming manuals and personal humor pieces which are sometimes mildly funny. His other passions: he strives to pick up 3 pieces of litter per day and deliver 3 care packages to homeless people per week for his strawberriesforsmiles.com project (both these projects are sadly on pause during corona season). Secretly, he wishes to quit Google, write a book about the two tier system there, and spend all his life on passion projects like writing and creating apps for safe sex and other educational adventures. But hey - for now he needs software engineering to pay the bills.
