Anne McKenzie is a small-scale farmer and the author of Raising Rabbits for Meat for Beginners and Mama Meditations. Her writing explores different facets of homesteading and motherhood as well as looking at all elements of living a natural and fulfilling life. Anne was born and raised on a farm and has always been passionate about living off the land. Making sure her family has access to the best nourishment possible is at the heart of her approach to farming, and she continues to pass the skills and traditions she learned when she was growing up on to her own children. Anne’s upbringing taught her to be frugal and take a DIY approach to life. Never fazed by a challenge, she’s always committed to finding the best way to approach a new problem, constantly up-leveling her skills and learning more about how to live a sustainable and natural life. Aware of the rising interest in sustainability and a more simple and peaceful approach to life, she is eager to share her expertise with others. Anne lives on their five-acre plot with her husband and six children, surrounded by cornfields. She loves being at home, growing wildflowers, sitting around a fire with friends, and being up when the sun rises.
