Before I left writing for a while to work "in the real world," 2 of my romances were award-winners, the 3rd a bestseller. Down the road from there—2 times—I was named as a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off. Now I’m back to my true calling, though: cooking up contemporary women's fiction with a healthy dose of humor! I loved writing THE COWGIRL TAKES HER MAN and then THE FARMER TAKES HIS WIFE. Although both are standalone stories, they're part of a series set in a tiny, Texas Hill Country ranching community. And since my novels are the polar opposite of, say, BEVERLY HILLS 90210, I wanted to come up with a series title that lets you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into...without even a peek at the book’s blurb. Thus, "BITTERPILL, TEXAS 78020." At the end of all 5 of my novels, I share a little-known, super-easy family recipe with you. And at bakeoff.com you can find my Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest finalist recipe for Enchilada Pasta Soup—the easiest and fastest recipe in the 2002 contest. If you'd like to reach out to me at bitterpilltx@gmail.com, I'd love to get your email. And in the meantime, happy reading!
