My name is Britain Kalai Soderquist, and I've been telling stories my whole life. My primary genres are historical, fantasy, and contemporary with romance and a hint of magic. Through everything I write, I strive to maintain a high standard of quality and content that can be enjoyed by adults and young adults alike. When not writing, I divide my time between three children, self-taught French lessons, and too many unfinished knitting projects. Previous to becoming a mother and writer, I trained for a career as an opera singer. (Clearly that didn't end up happening, but I still love opera with the passion of a dying Verdi heroine.) I also have an inconvenient love of things that everyday life makes me wait for, such as peppermint ice cream, trips to Europe, and going to the theater.
