Award winning author of the 2023 Firebird Book Awards for Children's Personal Growth and the 2023 Global Book Awards for Sports, Carmen Harris originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and a graduate from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff worked in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years in various roles. Her favorite role was writing & publishing technical documentation at a corporate level. She is a wife and a mother of a very adventurous and athletic son named Ross who loves sports and books. She currently lives in Tampa Bay and spends a lot of her time on the golf course as a spectator for her son who plays tournament level golf. She became inspired to start writing a children’s book because her and Ross saw a need for a book about golf. She also hopes this book inspires parents to introduce the game of golf to their kids, where they can gain life skills and make new friends, while doing something fun and exciting outdoors.
