Carole Wagener's The Hardest Year was a Finalist in the International Book Awards of 2023. She is retired physical therapist, author, and poet. A charter member of the Coastal Dunes California Writers Club she won the Jack London Award for volunteerism in 2023. Her work is featured in the Coastal Dunes Anthologies including Shifting Sands, A Drift of Golden Sand, Across a Distant Shore, and Turning Tides. A gifted storyteller in all genres, Carole's goal is not only to entertain, educate, and inspire her readers but to use subtle humor to promote individual healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
