He often speaks at Sports Performance conferences, seminars and summits on various topics of Human Performance and Nutrition.
Chris was recently hired by Stony Brook University as the Head Performance Nutrition Coach. He has the opportunity to work with nearly 500 Division I athletes from 16 different sport teams. Chris’ interest and passion for nutrition and sport is evident in his dealings with the athletes on a daily basis through the grueling schedules of Division I Student Athletes.
Chris had this to say:
“I have been studying the art and science of food for almost 2 decades; putting what I havelearned to the test at the highest level. I have used my body and my experiences as a test subject to study the effects of training and nutrition on human performance. My work in the ring and out has brought me the highest level of competition in one of the most brutal and demanding sports in the world. This has given me unique insight into the lives and training of elite athletes from many different sports.
Aside from the performance and sports science aspect of food, I love to cook and share meals. I come from backgrounds (Argentinean on mother’s side and Italian on father’s) that stress the importance of food culture and community. I grew up with a sense that the food we prepare and share is more than just macros and micros. My passion and understanding of food preparation comes across in my cooking. Anyone who enjoys cooking, loves to share their creations with others!”
