Claire Leeson is a 45-year-old mom who is also a writer with a background in counseling. She grew up and still lives in Oregon. She and her husband, Mark, have three children: Ethan is 21 years old, attending his senior year in college out of state and working part-time in a civil rights law firm; Lucas is 17 years old and a high school senior who is preparing for college applications, and lastly, her youngest, 15-year-old Sophia, is approaching the critical age when she will soon venture into adulthood. Claire wrote this book with her children and their friends in mind and hopes to help many other teens thrive as they approach adulthood.
