My name is Colin Bright and I am the proud father of Kristina Bright. My Kristina was born in 1988 with a rare form of cerebral palsy which means that she is classed as non verbal therefore is not able to speak. When Kristina was a child her mother and I figured that a good way of communicating with Kristina was to as such bring her soft toys to life therefore her reactions to these gave us an idea of her emotions indeed even though Kristina cannot speak she can chuckle when she is happy which she did on many occasions. Over a period of time I started to write stories on a typewriter based on her favourite soft toys theses being a panda, a bulldog, a tiger, an elephant and a bear the intention then was to be able to read these to her at bedtime. When Kristina was 10 she moved into full time care and I never wrote anything else indeed lost all interest in writing whatsoever. In 2020 the worldwide Covid pandemic happened and I wondered if I could do anything of benefit for those affected by this. Having revisited my stories it was mentioned that they were that good that they should be published therefore I went through the process and finally have had 'Placid Pamela' published by Austin Macauley. Pamela is based on Kristinas soft toy panda and the rest of the stories I plan to have published will be based on the others.
