D Grant Smith is known as "The Growth Farmer For Success." Operating on the philosophy that your heart and mind are a garden, and what you plant inside yourself is what you produce with your life, Smith teaches how to cultivate love within yourself so the tree of life can emerge from within you. Using storytelling, metaphorical word pictures, and life experiences, his books are transformative for people looking to overcome personal loss, negative mindsets and dibilitating fears. His work is inspired by the books and works of Seth Godin, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Jen Sincero, and Don Miguel Ruiz. His desire to help people grow beyond their surroundings and beliefs began when he started working in media in 1998. It led him to set out to create the brand The Appetizer Radio Show in 2003 that showcased unsigned, indie and DIY musicians on FM radio when indie music was not trendy. Thinking ahead of the game in media is something Smith has been credited for these past several years, including being named one of the Rising Stars of Radio by Radio Ink Magazine. After doing the DIY work to market and syndicate The Appetizer Radio Show to be picked up by radio stations across the US and internationally, Smith set out to tackle a new challenge: showing artists and creative entrepreneurs how to use relationship building and effective networking to build powerful audience communities. His work in the realm of "Growth Farming" includes leading individuals and organizations through coaching, workshops, speaking engagements, and more to build dynamic and thriving communities where everyone wins. His debut book The DIY Musician's Radio Handbook was both the culmination of his story in syndicating his radio program as well as a proven method is using effective relationship building to grow your brand. Modeling after the work of Dale Carnegie, the Radio Handbook is a must-read for creatives who want to use the power of media to market their work to new audiences. Starting in 2019, his focus shifts from helping creative entrepreneurs grow through organic relationship-building and marketing and into the self-help/personal development realm. His upcoming book Be Solid: How To Go Through Hell And Come Out Whole uses a core principle he learned in amateur boxing to go through immense personal loss and come through it with love and grace. It's a transformational tale and method that will help anyone who has experienced personal loss be able to heal, and be restored to wholeness. Due out in March/April 2019.
