D.M. Kilgore is an author, freelance writer, poet, lyricist, and creative free spirit. She describes herself as "a little bit rom-com, a little bit psychological thriller, and completely country fried crazy". D.M. is best known for her twisted tales of romantic terror, but admits she loves to dabble in multiple genres. When not writing, D.M. can usually be found with her nose stuck in a fun cozy mystery, suspense-filled thriller, or creepy horror novel; watching an excessive amount of Serial Killer Documentaries and Murder shows; or listening to True Crime Podcasts. Underneath her demented, quirky, exterior, D.M. says she's secretly just a softy with a big heart. She's into compassionate living, saving animals, protecting the environment, rescuing dogs, creating positive lasting change, advocating for ASD Acceptance and Mental Health Awareness, and promoting self-love. D.M. is also passionate about holistic wellness and low-tox clean living. She is currently studying holistic health, naturopathy, and nutrition on her path to becoming a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Naturopathic Practitioner. Happily married for three decades, D.M. is a proud mom of two grown boys, Mimi to one sassy granddaughter, two energetic grandsons, and a costume-loving grand-kitty, and Fairy Dog Mother to a bipolar Australian Shepherd with epilepsy and abandonment issues. She lives a (mostly) quiet life in a simple country home nestled in the Appalachian Valley of East Tennessee, where she enjoys hiking, nature photography, road trips, picnics, and stargazing. D.M. lists her guilty pleasures as gaming, binge-watching her favorite shows, and taking very long, hot baths while nibbling on dark chocolate, drinking cheap wine, and reading spicy, dark romances.
