Dakota Pierce was born in Southern California in 1995. As he grew up, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut, who would one day bless the first sacrament on Mars. To pursue this dream, Dakota moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), studying Aeronautical Engineering and playing shooting guard for the varsity basketball team. After his freshmen year at MIT, Dakota served a mission in Singapore and Malaysia and learned to speak Mandarin Chinese. Upon returning home, Dakota first worked for NASA before deciding to put his space dreams on hold to utilize his mission language and skills for Apple Inc. by managing production of their new products in China.
