Danforth has been writing travel tales since 2002, starting with a short story in a free paper and growing over twenty years into a successful freelance author of magazine articles and books. The breakthrough manuscript, This is Not a Holiday - an introduction to the concept and practice of the warmdüschers and how to avoid them, led to a sequel with the third in the trilogy still to come. He's currently finalising his first non-trilogy book, which will delight regular readers with its depth and scope. Dan is still a prolific traveller, having so far visited 114 countries, including El Salvador, Suriname, Sudan, Vanuatu, Bhutan, Andorra and Palestine. It's taken him 40 years so far and he's still only halfway through! And they keep inventing new countries! He's going to have to accelerate.
