Dana Stevens is the film critic at Slate and the co-host of two Slate podcasts, the Culture Gabfest and the Slate Spoiler Special. She has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Atlantic, and Bookforum.
