Covid shut down everything. My thoughts turned to writing a love story to bring redemption to the real Ebenezer Scrooge and Jacob Marley, whose lives were ruined by their friend Charles Dickens when he published A Christmas Carol. It started as a screenplay...and then the story grew larger into the novel. I will confess to being more screenwriter than novelist...so my emphasis in writing is on character and dialog. The story has ghosts and witches, God...and a little bit of sex. The book has been professionally edited...and in a year or two it will be a movie. It makes the perfect beach read and Christmas gift...all wrapped up in one.
