Davis MacDonald is a well-respected novelist who writes classic murder mystery novels. Look for bold themes and exciting drama across the spectrum of our 21st century world as his characters via for love, money, power and fame. Grab one of his novels, buckle up for some adventure, and enjoy the read. Davis MacDonald grew up in Southern California and writes of places about which he has intimate knowledge. A member of the National Association of Independent Writers and Editors, (NAIWE), his career has spanned law professor, Bar Association Chair, investment banker and lawyer. He currently provides legal representation to clients throughout the United States and offshore. Many of the colorful characters in his novels are drawn from his personal experiences. "THE HILL" is his first work that introduces "The Judge". The Palos Verdes Peninsula is hidden away on the spectacular coastline just outside the confines of Los Angeles. A sedate and quiet community, and one of the wealthiest in America, finds The Judge investigating the death of a teenage girl in a web of greed, corruption, drugs and illicit sex reaching to the very pillars of Peninsula Society. The second book in the series, "THE ISLAND", carries on the saga of The Judge and Katy, his new squeeze, on the Island of Catalina. In the third book of the series, "SILICON BEACH", The Judge searches the boardwalks of Venice, the swank bars and restaurants of Santa Monica, the yuppie ghetto of Playa Vista, and the sex clubs of West LA in pursuit of adversaries who threaten him and anyone who gets too close to the secrets buried in Silicon Beach. Join The Judge on a "working vacation" in a bungalow in Newport Beach in "THE BAY". With his new and very pregnant wife Katy, The Judge falls into a web of intrigue and stealth, leaving The Judge to unravel a murder over FBI’s objections. "CABO" is the latest novel in the series. Cabo San Lucas looked to be a great get-away...until bodies started falling off roofs. The Judge finds himself caught among shifting loyalties as police and politicians scramble to hide corruption reaching to the highest levels of Cabo Society. While the stories Davis MacDonald writes are fiction, they have a solid basis in reality. The cliffs of Palos Verdes have long drawn those with an eye for suicide (and occasionally murder), and the author does indeed have a boisterous and much loved golden retriever with a nose for getting into trouble. A member of a prestigious yacht club in Catalina and a part time resident of Avalon, he weaves a tale of intrigue and murder across the posh waterholes and breathtaking views of the island, providing insight into a cast of characters we have all met in one guise or another. Davis' books are available on Amazon in paperback, Kindle, and audiobook formats. You can find more info about Davis MacDonald at http://DavisMacDonald-Author.com.
