After having tinkered with writing fiction for much of my life, I tried writing screenplays in 2006 and discovered the ideal element for developing my stories. I honed my writing skills by creating a number of screenplays ("Quick Silver" won Screenplay of the Month at both Trigger Street and Screenwriter's Utopia, and most of my other screenplays have made it into Trigger Street's Top Ten list), and then began converting some of them into novels. The results are tight, fast-paced stories designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I write mostly cross-genre stories of science fiction, fantasy, horror and action-adventure, often incorporating classic genre elements in unique ways. My strengths are creating inventive plots, depicting vivid yet realistic action sequences, and developing engaging, intriguing characters. I was born in Chile and grew up all over the world, including India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador and the US. I've worked in a wide range of fields, including infantry paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, naturalist/guide in the Galapagos Islands, graphic designer, website developer, video ad designer, computer applications instructor, and Thai boxing assistant instructor. I also create unique, award-winning art using embossed metal on fabric. My other activities include cartooning, physical fitness, motorcycling, trap and skeet, studying science and advancing technologies, and creating philosophical YouTube videos.
