Author E.L. Cyrs is a world-traveled, award-winning, professional presenter and speaker. Although a passionate memoirist, writing short stories and his work as an actual storyteller are what assuages his restless creative spirit. He has received a host of accolades over the decades during his career as a folklorist, musician, activist, and mentor. Cyrs has presented in hundreds of public/private institutions, schools, conferences, and festivals across the globe. He is a recipient of California’s State Assembly Certificate of Recognition for his commitment to community and working with troubled teens. The city in which he resides, Long Beach California, recognized him as the municipality’s Artist of the Year, an award presented by the Mayor. Additionally, he has been honored with commendations from both the U.S. Senate and U.S. Congress.
