Elizabeth Cohen is a multi-genre writer who lives in New Mexico. A former State University of New York English professor, she is a poet, journalist, fiction and non-fiction writer, and has an MFA in poetry from Columbia University, Author of seven books, her newest, Mermaids of Albuquerque, will be published in late 2024. In addition to writing and publishing widely, she spends time coaching memoirists and with the care and feeding of a small black (often poorly behaved) dog named Layla.
