Elizabeth Meacham, PhD, is an internationally recognized and award-winning spiritual ecologist, author, and Earth-based spiritual teacher, mentor and healer. Dr. Meacham teaches nationally and internationally through her workshops, retreats, and training programs. She is the founder of the Lake Erie Institute for Holistic Environmental Education, based in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as the international Earth Spirit Dreaming Healing Arts Collective. Dr. Meacham received her PhD in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and her MA in Philosophy from Cleveland State University (summa cum laude). She teaches and publishes in the areas of spiritual ecology, ecopsychology and earth-based spiritual practices. From 2010 to 2016, she taught in the Departments of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Ursuline College, in Pepper Pike, OH. Her courses included environmental philosophy, ecojustice, ecopsychology, bioethics, and topics in sustainability. During her time at Ursuline, she co-created an undergraduate degree in Sustainability and Social Justice, and created an online graduate certificate in Sustainability and Spirituality. Her abilities and skills as a healer derive from decades of cultivating relationships with and learning from loving nature and spirit beings, and training in earth-based spiritual healing arts with her long-time teacher, Damaris Chrystal.
