Elizabeth Varadan was born in Reno, Nevada, traveled to many states while growing up, but has lived most of her life in California. A former elementary school teacher, her current passion is writing. For many years she and her husband lived in Sacramento, California, but traveled to Spain, and Portugal. In February of 2021, they moved to Braga, Portugal where they now live permanently. * Her children's fiction and poetry has appeared in StoryFriends, LadyBug, and Skipping Stones. * Her poetry and fiction for adults has appeared in numerous magazines. * The Fourth Wish, a middle grade fantasy novel, was self-published in 2009. * Imogene and the Case of the Missing Pearls, a middle grade mystery featuring a ten-year-old sleuth and Sherlock Holmes, was published by MX Publishing June 15, 2015. * Her story, "Kidnapped," was published in the anthology, Beyond Watson in May, 2016. * Dragonella, a picture book, was published by Belanger Books October, 2017. * A Spanish edition of Dragonella was published by Belanger Books April, 2018 * The Carnival of the Animals, a collection of stories for children based on Camille Saent-Sans' musical fantasy, was published by Belanger Books October, 2018. * Deadly Vintage, a cozy mystery, was published by Belanger Books in November, 2019. * Her story, "What the Raven Knew," was published in the anthology, Sherlock Holmes: Adventures in the Realms of Edgar Allan Poe by Belanger Books, December, 2019. * Her poetry collection, Saudade,30 Poems of Longing, was published by Finishingline Press in February, 2020. * Deadly Verse, (the sequel to Deadly Vintage), was published by Belanger Books in August, 2022. She is currently working on the next Braga mystery and a new adventure with Imogene and Sherlock Holmes..
