Emerson Robbins coached youth soccer for almost forty years. He was named Coach of the Year for Seattle, in 2008 Coach of the Year for the State of Washington, in 2009 COY for the western U.S and runner-up for National Coach of the Year. "We All Wore Blue" tells the story of the FC Shoreline International team he coached from 2005 to 2010 that went on to win two State Championships; a team made up of players from a myriad of different countries, races and religions that came together as one and celebrated their diversity on the road to victory. Emerson retired from coaching in 2018, but continues to remain in touch with many of the players and families of this unique team.
