With a melting pot of Asian and Caucasian blood flowing through her veins, Emily Smith has the unique advantage of being able to write from a multitude of racial perspectives. Since her first love has and always will be romance, she hopes to utilize those perspectives by expressing her innermost desires through characters based on fragments of her own past and present life. Overall, she is a dreamer, true and true, with a quirky wit and a penchant for jokes and laughter during the most awkward and serious of moments. Her goal is to put these traits to good use by steering towards real-life humor within the pages of a genre that’s often times predictable and way too serious. “You can’t have love without laughter,” she admits.
