Emily is an Dyslexic indie-children's author, publisher, storyteller, equality and diversity advocate, based in Plymouth, UK. She is the author behind the magic husky series 'My Incredible adventures' which there are five books, and most recently, Mia the magic husky and the alphabet potion. Emily is a big advocate for children's mental health and has written a few books covering different challenging aspects children may be facing in today's world. 'Lady the Ladybug' is a story about overcoming adversity where the main character has dyslexia, the message behind the book is to show children in-particular it's OK to be different! During the UK's first lock-down Emily wrote a story called 'Huffy puffs random acts of kindness' inspired by people's good deeds in the news. Then came Emily's first photojournalist inspired rhyming book featuring Mia the magic husky and her tales of living threw 2020's living history. Lastly Emily has started to write a series called 'we love our planet' covering climate change issues, the first book is called 'Crinkle' the weird fish. In 2021 Emily plans to release the second in the series covering issues relating to deforestation. Emily's fun, interactive and imaginative stories have been inspirational reads for both children, parents and teachers alike. ​ When she's not writing new books, Emily loves to visit schools, where she does her dyslexia awareness projects, helping children to discover the magic of stories and to fall in love with reading again! Emily states her story ideas are very much like Jo Malone's quote describing herself as 'an unpredictable firework'. Emily never knows where her story plots will take her.
