Gareth Jones is the son of late BBC Foreign Correspondent Ivor Jones,with whom he travelled widely as a child to Germany, India and Lebanon, an upbringing which shaped his internationalist creative outlook. As well as being a novelist, he is known as a theatre, television and film director and screenwriter, his most recent work being the D-Trilogy of feature films - Desire, Delight and Delirium - produced by his own company Scenario Films. He lives in London and rural mid-Wales, the inspiration and setting for his first two novels Lord of Misrule and Noble Savage, as well as his film Delight. He is a passionate European, lecturing internationally on film and screenwriting, especially in continental Europe. For ten years, he has also run the film training programme Babylon, which promotes diversity in a pan-European context.
