George Yip, American-British-Chinese, is a business school professor who specializes in the strategies of multinational companies. His most acclaimed book, Total Global Strategy (Prentice Hall, 1992), was published in ten languages and has been highly influential with both executives and business students. He hopes that his latest book, China’s Next Strategic Advantage: From Imitation to Innovation (The MIT Press, 2016) will be as successful. Other books include Strategic Transformation (2013) and Managing Global Customers (2007). He is currently a professor at Imperial College Business School in London, and has also held faculty positions at China Europe International Business School in Shanghai, Harvard, UCLA, Cambridge, and London Business School. His management experience includes being Dean of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (The Netherlands), Vice President and Director of Research & Innovation at Capgemini Consulting (UK), senior manager at Price Waterhouse strategic management consulting (USA), and product manager at Unilever (UK).
