Hernandes Dias Lopes, born in Nova Venécia-ES. Married to Udemilta Pimentel Lopes, father of Mariana and Thiago, daughter-in-law Renata and grandson Bento. He did his Bachelor of Theology course at the Southern Presbyterian Seminary in Campinas-SP from 1978 to 1981 and his Doctorate in Ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, in the United States from 2000 to 2001. He was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Bragança Paulista from 1982 to 1984 and since 1985 he has been the head pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Vitória. He is also a member of the Evangelical Academy of Letters of Brazil, executive director of Luz para o Caminho and collaborating pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Pinheiros in São Paulo. He is a lecturer and writer, with over 150 books published.
