Ina M. Sebastian is a Research Scientist at the Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her work centers on how companies unlock innovation and value through developing future-ready capabilities and partnering in digital ecosystems. Ina’s research on ecosystems, partnering, digital transformation, and the digital workplace has appeared in MIT Sloan Management Review, Management Information Systems Quarterly Executive, Harvard Business Review, The European Business Review, and academic outlets. She is a co-author of the book Future Ready: The Four Pathways to Capturing Digital Value published by Harvard Business Review Press. Ina is a passionate researcher interested in how digital leaders effectively coordinate ecosystem collaboration to solve complex challenges, such as affordable healthcare and sustainability. Before joining MIT CISR in 2014, Ina pursued a Ph.D. in International Management with a focus on Information Systems at the University of Hawaii, where she studied how multi-disciplinary healthcare teams leveraged digital technologies to improve coordination.
